Insert Accordions

Accordions can be used to allow the reader to manually show or hide certain content in an Article. You can add accordions to an Article by using the More Rich option in the toolbar.

  1. While editing an Article, click the More Rich button in the toolbar, then click Insert Accordion.
  2. Select how many accordions you want to add.
  3. Update the label and content of the accordions.

The blue text will be the label for the accordion that will always show whether it is collapsed or expanded. The black text is what is hidden when the accordion is collapsed.

Default Behavior

The Accordion element functions as a toggle container with two primary components:

  • A visible header/title that remains displayed at all times.
  • A content section that can be expanded or collapsed by clicking the header.

When viewing an article with Accordion(s) in the External View:

  • The Accordion appears in its collapsed state.
  • Only the title is visible to readers.
  • A visual indicator (typically an arrow or plus/minus icon) shows its expandable nature.
  • Clicking the header expands the content section.
  • Clicking again collapses it.

When viewing the Accordion in the Editor:

  • No collapse/expand function, the full Accordion Title and Body are displayed.
  • If added while within a List (Ordered or Unordered) will always be placed after the last list item.

Editing the Accordion Title

There are two ways to edit the Title.

  1. Click on the Title text in the editor to reveal a Link Toolbar with an 'Edit Text' option.[^1]
  2. Click on the Title text and type directly onto the Title line.
