Understand Triggering Phrases

What's in this article?

A Triggering Phrase is a message that an End User can send that will initiate a Flow, Q&A, Intent, or Knowledge Search.

Triggering Phrases should be unique to each Q&A, Flow, or Intent. If you have a non-unique Triggering Phrase and an End User's message matches that input, the Clarification flow will run. This will have the End User disambiguate their search, which at this point has matched overlapping Intents, Flows, or Q&As in the bot.

It is important to have at least 10 Triggering Phrases per Intent, Q&A, or Flow. This is because the more data you have, the better the performance of the model will be on unseen data (Triggering Phrases).
