How do I add WebChat to my Knowledge Library pages?

Adding WebChat to your external Library is easy and can be done with just a few clicks. By adding WebChat to your external library, it allows customers to get easy access to your team for live support and any other support options you enable. 

To add a Web Chat widget to your external Library pages, you must first set up a WebChat instance in your organization

To add WebChat to your Library: 

  1. Navigate to the Settings activity and clicking on the Knowledge option from the Settings menu
  2. Click the pencil icon next to the Knowledge Base Library you want to add a Web Chat widget to
  3. Scroll down to the Add a chat widget to your Library:  field 
  4. From the dropdown, select the WebChat widget you would like to add to this Knowledge Base Library. All of your configured Web Chat instances will be shown in the list with the following format: [Team Name]: [Web Chat Integration Name]
  5. Click Save


How do I remove a Web Chat widget from my Knowledge Base Library?

If you need to remove WebChat from your external Library: 

  1. Navigate to the Settings activity by clicking your avatar icon in the top right and clicking the Settings option
  2. From the main navigation menu on the left, go to Knowledge.
  3. Click the pencil icon next to the Knowledge Base Library you want to remove a Web Chat widget to
  4. Scroll down to the field labeled "Add a chat widget to your Library:".
  5. Click the X next to the Web Chat integration listed in the Add a chat widget to your Library field
  6. Click Save.

To hide the welcome message in Messenger so there is no pop up message when the page loads, simply remove the text from the Welcome Text box in the Messenger Configurator under Settings.
